The famous (or infamous) Darwin, depending on which side of science you support, elevated to celebrity status from his pale scientist profile through the favorite line – ‘Survival of the fittest,’ which is a phrase that originated from his evolutionary theory as a way of describing the mechanism of natural selection.

Survival means the ability to live one extra second than your immediate competition, and the fittest means your capacity to reproduce.
Since the phrase got world attention and textbook space across the globe, survival and fitness became darling across geography and demography. Teachers, academicians, businessmen, local storekeepers, bank tellers, policemen, politicians, and even religious individuals use the phrase as a universal norm. Evolutionary theory has been widely criticized for its applicability since its inception, but Darwin became a rockstar for this single line.
